STLinux Support Related E-mail Lists

Historically we have provided subscribable e-mail lists for communication with customers and users.

  • stlinux-announce was used to announce new releases of the STLinux distribution, updates and significant changes to the www.stlinux.com web site
  • stlinux-support was used for general support communication with the STLinux support team.

  • However, these lists are now withdrawn in favour of more controlled and reliable forms of communication.

    Release Announcements

Can now be accessed via RSS feeds.

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a form of web-feed: a method for describing changing contents so that a user of that content is aware of what has changed, and can obtain more information about those changes which are relevant. More information is available from the Wikipedia: web feed and RSS.

Currently the available feeds are described here: RSS feeds.

    General Support Queries

Bugzilla is now the preferred and only means of communication with the STLinux support team. This provides an automatic triage of all incoming support requests by the members of the support team, a work flow through the process of response to a support query, controlled and archived communication between the reporter and the members of the support team and a searchable database of previous support queries and their answers which can often provide the solution to a common problem.

Bugzilla supports public channels, visible to everyone, but on request private channels between the STLinux support team and a specific customer can be created.
